Mercury Retrograde in Gemini

Mercury Retrograde in Gemini

Mercury in Gemini turns retrograde on May 10th, 2022, and moves backwards into Taurus on May 22, 2022 until its retrograde ends on June 3rd, 2022.

Mercury retrograde—the three-week period when Mercury goes from moving forward to moving backward in its orbit—is coming up soon. We're in Gemini, and we're heading back into Taurus. The theme? Hurt, heal, love, and cut with a single phrase.

Mercury is the planet that rules communication—it's also a trickster. So when it goes into retrograde, it basically means that everything goes haywire in your communication department. You'll get confused with directions, lose important documents, or have trouble understanding what people are saying to you because they're speaking in riddles or using words that don't make sense (this is known as "speaking in tongues"). Your computer may even crash at some point during this time period.

But don't worry! This is all normal and happens to everyone who has ever lived on earth. Mercury goes into retrograde about three times per year for about three weeks at a time; however, these effects can last longer than just three weeks because there's also a pre-shadow and post-shadow period that comes with each retrograde.

When a planet stations and goes retrograde, it's often a good idea to stop doing outer work associated with that planet and focus on working on yourself more instead. After all, the planet will be doing its own internal work during its retrograde period, so you may as well join it.

This retrograde will be in the sign of Gemini.

When it comes to being curious, Gemini's are absolutely top-notch. They're always looking for new information and love to learn. They have an instinctual drive to explore everything—and this can come off as a bit unfocused, especially in their early years. But it's not all for naught!

Gemini's are actually really good at absorbing just enough of a wide variety of topics to make them fine conversationalists. It helps that they don't take things too seriously, which makes them well-liked by other people who value intellectual independence as much as they do.

Their respect for intellectual independence means that they need to feel a mental rapport with others before they'll fully relax around them; otherwise it's hard for them to be themselves around people who aren't on their level.

Here are some tips on how to get through Mercury retrograde:

1. Don't try to do anything new, because it will all go wrong anyway. (Or at least, it will seem that way.)

2. Think about how many times you've done something like this before? It's not the first time! You've got this—you'll be fine!

3. Don't sign contracts or make big decisions during this time—especially if they involve travel or technology. If you have to travel on business, try not to schedule any important meetings while you're away. And if something goes wrong with your computer or phone while Mercury is in retrograde, don't worry—we've all been there before! Just wait until after it passes and try again later.

4. Be sure to stay hydrated, and take frequent breaks from your computer/smartphone/other devices. Your eyes need a break! (helps avoid simple mistakes)

This retrograde will be felt strongly by mutable and air signs. And it's going to make you feel like you're stuck in a time warp.....maybe. Everything will be fine you’ve done this many times!
